According to police officials, a 22-year-old accused, identified as Paras, intercepted the two women near a canal. The man reportedly harassed them, and when the mother protested, he allegedly attacked her with a sharp sugarcane tool. After assaulting the woman, the accused forcibly abducted the 20-year-old daughter and fled the scene.

Villagers rushed to help after hearing the woman’s cries and took her to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

Following the woman’s death, protests broke out in the area, with activists and members of the Bhim Army demanding immediate arrest of the accused and safe recovery of the missing daughter. Due to rising tension, authorities deployed additional police forces in the village to maintain law and order.

After prolonged discussions with the district administration and local leaders, the woman’s family performed her last rites.
